Azerbaijan-Ukraine match assigned to Greek referees

The referee appointments for the 2026 World Cup qualifying match between the Azerbaijani national team and the Ukrainian national team in Baku have been announced.

Axar.az reports that the match has been assigned to representatives of justice from Greece.

FIFA referee Vassilis Fotias will be assisted by Andreas Meintanas and Mikhail Papadakis. Anastasio Papapetru will serve as the fourth official.

Angelos Evangelou will be in charge of the VAR, and Ioannis Papadopoulos will be in charge of the AVAR.

It should be noted that the Azerbaijan-Ukraine match will take place on September 9 at 20:00 at the Tofig Bahramov Republic Stadium.
