Azerbaijani parajudoka Ilham Zakiyev reached the finals of the World Championship held in Baku.

Axar.az informs that the 42-year-old athlete, who performed in the weight category above 90 kg, successively defeated Onur Tashtan (Turkey), Ganbat Daştseren (Mongolia) and Romald Rabotier (France).

World and 8-time European, 2-time Paralympic champion will try his strength against Vilians Araujo (Brazil) in the decisive match.

Among female parajudokas, in 70 kg, Mrs. Huseynova and Khatira Ismiyeva will compete for bronze medals.
