Lionel Messi, the captain of the Argentine national team, violated the rules of FIFA at the awards ceremony held after the game they won against France in the final of the World Cup-2022.

Axar.az reports with reference to Publika.az that when Messi lifted the cup over his head, he was wearing the outerwear given to him by the Emir of Qatar. This is contrary to Article 27 of the FIFA guidelines. In that article, it is mentioned that holiday clothes can be used in the final match only after the official events of FIFA are over. During that time, players must wear the uniforms intended for the respective game.

FIFA president Gianni Infantino was also with Messi while wearing the dress symbolizing Arab culture, and he did not react to it.
