A statue of the founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ruhollah Khomeini, on a central street in the Ardistan region of Isfahan province, has been destroyed by an unknown person.

Axar.az reports that this information was shared by the Azad Iran Telegram channel.

At the same time, plaques bearing Khomeini's name were broken in the surrounding area.
