Ukraine responds to Trump's call for new president

Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha has defended President Volodymyr Zelensky following US President Donald Trump’s call for Ukraine to elect a new leader.

Axar.az reports that Sybiha made the remarks in a post on X while responding to Trump’s statements.

“President Volodymyr Zelensky leads our nation in a time of war — a war for independence, freedom, and dignity. He has the support of the Ukrainian people, and they have the right to decide. Statements from abroad only confirm that he is doing his job well. He deserves support," he said.
