Heavy rains caused serious damage in Armenia's Tavush province.
Axar.az reports that the Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations has issued a statement on this matter.
It is reported that due to the rise in the level of the river in Tashir, homes have been flooded, and residents have been evacuated.
In one of the fuel filling stations in Alaverdi city, compressors have been submerged in water. According to preliminary information, an explosion occurred as a result of a short circuit. The first floors of houses and streets are underwater.
A bridge has been washed away at the intersection.
Homes have also been flooded in Vanadzor, Stepanavan, and the village of Amrakits.
The bridge connecting the Sanain station to the city of Alaverdi has completely collapsed.
The bridge over the Debed River on the road to the Karkop village of the Alaverdi community has collapsed, and the village has been flooded.
There are also serious damages in some areas of Yerevan.
According to preliminary information, 232 people have been evacuated from the affected areas.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations' 30th brigade is working at the scene, and 324 rescue operations have been mobilized.
