On May 19, during an interview with a Turkish channel, the Friday Imam of Tabriz, Mohammad Ali Ale-Hashem, reiterated his statements about Karabakh, which he made before his death in a helicopter crash.

Axar.az reports that footage of this interview has been circulated on Telegram channels.

In the interview, he stated that Karabakh is Azerbaijani territory and should be returned to Azerbaijan.

It should be noted that Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, the Friday Imam of Tabriz, Ayatollah Ali Ale-Hashem, and the Governor of East Azerbaijan Province, Malik Rahmati, perished in a helicopter crash in East Azerbaijan province on May 19.
