Hamas has demanded the entry of at least 250 humanitarian aid trucks per day into Gaza as a precondition to resume negotiations, according to a source familiar with ongoing talks. The group is using humanitarian needs to press for concessions while refusing to re-engage in dialogue without such aid improvements.
Axar.az, citing JP, reports that, meanwhile, US envoy Steve Witkoff informed families of Israeli hostages that Israel and the US are working on a framework to both end the war and release all hostages, although the process is expected to take months due to its complexity.
Amid negotiations, Hamas and Islamic Jihad have released disturbing propaganda videos of hostages, including Rom Braslavski, showing him emaciated and pleading for food and water. The video has intensified calls from Prime Minister Netanyahu for international intervention, accusing Hamas of systematic starvation and calling on the Red Cross to act.
Netanyahu also urged international condemnation of Hamas and Islamic Jihad, citing severe violations of international law and the Geneva Convention.
