Kursk NPP transformer damaged in overnight drone attack

During the night, the Ukrainian army carried out a drone attack on the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant (NPP).

Axar.az reports, citing Reuters and Russian officials, the attack damaged the plant’s transformer, causing the output of the third energy block to drop by 50%.

The plant’s press service reported that the fire resulting from the attack was extinguished and no casualties were recorded.

Radiation levels at the plant and in surrounding areas remain within normal limits.
