Kyrgyzstan has suspended search operations for two Iranian climbers who went missing on Peak Pobeda.

Axar.az reports, citing TASS, “All search efforts have been halted, and it is currently unclear if they will resume this year,” the country’s Ministry of Emergency Situations said.

According to the official, weather conditions in the area where the climbers went missing are poor.

Maryam Pilehvari and Hassan Seyfollah arrived in Kyrgyzstan in early August to climb Peak Pobeda. Their last known contact was on August 12. A drone deployed to survey the area failed to locate them.
