Mirzoyan discusses Washington accords with ambassadors

Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan has briefed Armenian ambassadors on the Washington accords.

Axar.az informs, citing Armenpress, speaking at the ambassadorial gathering in Kapan – an annual meeting of all Armenian ambassadors stationed across the world – Mirzoyan underscored the importance of the peace with Azerbaijan for Armenia and the region and presented the vision of Armenia’s foreign policy in this new reality, the new opportunities and upcoming work to utilize them, the foreign ministry said in a readout.

He said the continuous implementation of the agenda of peace and ensuring a sustainable, safe and prosperous environment for Armenian citizens is the priority of the Armenian government.

He spoke about the opportunities arising from regional unblocking, the efforts toward ensuring Armenian engagement in the expanding international connection network and the upcoming tasks toward implementing the Armenian-Azerbaijani Washington accords.

The annual meeting of Armenian ambassadors abroad began on August 24 and will conclude on August 27.
