It is impossible to conclude any negotiations in one meeting. Because this is a big war.

Axar.az reports that these words were said by Andrii Yermak, the head of the Ukrainian President's office.

Yermak said that during the meeting in Jeddah, US President Donald Trump proposed an unconditional and comprehensive ceasefire:

“Ukrainian President Zelensky and I immediately agreed. This was the initiative of the American side. Then they saw that Russia was not going to do this, and the situation changed.

Now everyone is interested in one question. How can we talk about peace today if missiles and drones continue to fly? That is why it is impossible to conclude any negotiations with one meeting at the moment. Because this is a big war.

That is why today everyone understands that a ceasefire is necessary. Today, we are saying that we need to set a specific deadline for the ceasefire. During this period, everyone should work on negotiations 24/7 and look for any option for an agreement. This proposal was made for completely logical reasons.

It seems that Russia is refusing this. Russia is refusing not only this, but everything in general, and it itself is not offering anything. It simply changed the Istanbul condition of 2022. In fact, there is a new "There is nothing."

Yermak added that the Russian missile attack on Ukraine after the White House meeting was absolutely terrifying for Americans.
