US President Donald Trump said that, despite previous suggestions that the military presence could be reduced, American troops will remain in Poland.

Axar.az reports that Trump told reporters during a meeting with Polish President Karol Nawrocki at the White House.

"I think that if the Polish side shows such interest, the United States could even increase the contingent," Trump said.

The American leader also emphasized that Washington and Warsaw have fairly close positions, which contributes to strengthening bilateral cooperation in the security field.
