I confirm the European Commission's (EC) plans to suspend the trade provisions of the association agreement with Israel in response to the military operations in the Gaza Strip and Israel's policy in the West Bank.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by the head of the European Union diplomacy, Kaja Kallas.

According to Kallas, this may involve the abolition of the preferential regime for a number of Israeli goods imported into the EU.

"37% of Israeli products supplied to the European Union are subject to the preferential regime," she said.
