Although the summer season is not over yet, the weather conditions in the country have changed suddenly for several days. The temperature has dropped, and in some regions it has rained, hailed, and even snowed. The main question that interests people is how long the observed unstable weather will last and when the heat will return.
Axar.az reports that Gulshad Mammadova, Director of the Forecast Bureau of the National Hydrometeorological Service, said that the precipitation will continue for several days.
“Rain is expected in some places in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula on the evening of September 16 and in the first half of the day on September 17. Northeasterly winds will blow, and the maximum air temperature will be 20-24 degrees Celsius.
Starting from September 16 until the second half of the day on September 18, intermittent rain is expected in the regions, and lightning is expected in some places. On September 17, mainly in mountainous and foothill regions, short-term showers and hail are likely. A moderate east wind will blow. The maximum air temperature will be 19-24 degrees Celsius in the lowland regions, and 7-12 degrees Celsius in the mountainous areas,” Gulshad Mammadova noted.
The weather is expected to warm up relatively soon from the first working day of next week.
