Russian attack on Kyiv injures 20, including two children

A Russian missile and drone attack on Kyiv early Thursday injured 20 people, including two children, and damaged residential buildings, offices and warehouses across the Ukrainian capital.

Axar.az reports, citing Kyiv Post, that five of the injured were hospitalized in city hospitals. Damage was reported in the Dniprovskyi, Sviatoshynskyi and Solomianskyi districts, including to residential and office buildings, warehouses and other non-residential facilities. A higher education facility in the Holosiivskyi district was also damaged.

Ukraine’s Air Force said Russia launched Oniks anti-ship missiles, Iskander-M/S-400/KN-23 ballistic missiles, four Kalibr cruise missiles and more than 160 drones against Ukraine from the evening of September 16.

The Air Force said Ukrainian forces shot down or neutralized 131 aerial targets as of 8 a.m., while missile and drone impacts were recorded at 36 locations and debris fell at five locations.
