After the defeat against Qarabag, Benfica has parted ways with head coach Bruno Lage.

Axar.az reports that the president of the Lisbon club, Rui Costa, announced the decision.

He expressed his regret over the situation and added that a new head coach will be appointed by the weekend.

It should be noted that Qarabag defeated their opponent 3–2 away.
