Today, after a phone call between US President Donald Trump and his Kazakh counterpart Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the largest locomotive supply agreement in Kazakhstan's history was signed.

Axar.az reports that US Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnik wrote about this on his social media account.

"This $ 4 billion contract provides strong support for one of our most important sectors. It is about world-leading American innovation, supporting thousands of jobs in Texas and Pennsylvania, and strengthening the partnership between the United States and Kazakhstan. These locomotives will provide transport connectivity between Europe and Asia, connecting the Middle Corridor, which is based on American technologies," Lutnik noted.
