On September 22, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with Chairman and CEO of Neuberger Berman George Volker in New York.

Axar.az reports that during the meeting, views were exchanged on the current state and development prospects of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Neuberger Berman.

President Ilham Aliyev emphasized the importance of our country in expanding cooperation with international financial institutions and reputable investment companies, and expressed confidence that the partnership with Neuberger Berman will continue successfully in this regard.

During the conversation, it was emphasized that the fruitful partnership of the State Oil Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan with this company since 2016 has contributed to the development of the financial sector of our country and the expansion of international investment opportunities.

George Volker, providing information on the global financial and investment activities of the company he leads, expressed his satisfaction with the cooperation with Azerbaijan. He emphasized the importance of the economic processes taking place in the region for the company and stated that the existing opportunities for expanding partnership within the framework of new projects are being evaluated.

Neuberger Berman is a global investment management firm founded in New York in 1939. The company currently manages over half a trillion US dollars in assets for international institutions, advisors, and individual investors.
