Zarif: Nakhchivan road offers Iran an opportunity

The road connecting Nakhchivan with other regions of Azerbaijan can create new opportunities for Iran.

Axar.az reports, citing "Azad Iran", that this was stated by former Iranian Foreign Minister and former Vice President Mohammad Javad Zarif.

"Today, the situation has changed. For example, the road connecting Nakhchivan with other regions of Azerbaijan can be an opportunity for us. If we were stuck in the past, we would see it as a threat. However, we must learn to turn threats into opportunities," Zarif emphasized.

He noted that one should not be a prisoner of the past, and many of Iran's problems stem from a focus on the past.

Zarif also warned that repeating past experiences could lead to new failures.
