EAEU ready to fast-track Uzbekistan membership bid

The Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) is ready to consider Uzbekistan’s application for full membership in the shortest possible time if the country decides to submit it.

Axar.az reports, citing Izvestia, that this was stated by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Aleksandr Pankin.

“If Uzbekistan submits an application, of course, I think it will be approved in accordance with the procedure in the shortest possible time,” the diplomat said.

It should be noted that Uzbekistan currently holds observer status in the Eurasian Economic Union.
