Erdogan: Hormuz must not become theater of war

Turkiye does not want Strait of Hormuz to turn into a theater of war.

Axar.az reports that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan made the remarks at a press conference following the NATO summit in Ankara.

"Turkiye is doing everything it can regarding the Strait of Hormuz. We do not want the strait to become a war zone," Erdogan said.

The president added, "If we can achieve this, it will be a great success for us."

Erdogan also stated that Turkiye is ready to take part in demining operations in the Strait of Hormuz.
