Kyiv declares 21 August day of mourning

In Kyiv, August 21 has been declared a Day of Mourning for those killed in the massive Russian attack on the capital, which claimed the lives of 12 people.

Axar.az reports, citing Ukrainian media, that Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko made the announcement.

“August 21 has been declared a Day of Mourning in Kyiv, in memory of the victims of the massive enemy attack on the capital,” he said.

All municipal buildings in Kyiv will fly flags at half-mast. State institutions, as well as private institutions and organizations, have also been advised to lower the national flags.

In addition, all entertainment events will be banned in the capital on August 21.

It should be noted that Russian forces launched ballistic missile strikes on Kyiv overnight.
