Novokhatske in the Donetsk region has been liberated despite heavy mining and fierce enemy resistance.

Axar.az reports, citing RBC Ukraine, that according to the 37th Separate Marine Brigade, Novokhatske in the Donetsk region has been completely cleared of Russian forces.

The operation was carried out by troops from the 37th Separate Marine Brigade together with soldiers from the 79th Separate Tavriiska Air Assault Brigade.

According to the military, Ukrainian defenders advanced through the settlement step by step despite fierce enemy resistance and extensive minefields.

Russian troops were pushed out of their positions. They suffered losses and retreated.
