Israel suspends attacks during hostage talks

Israel is halting attacks while negotiations are underway to release the hostages.

Axar.az reports that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said this.

"After the release of the hostages, we intend to achieve the disarmament of Hamas and the demilitarization of Gaza, both diplomatically and militarily," the prime minister said.

In a televised address to his compatriots, Netanyahu confirmed his agreement to send a negotiating team to Egypt to finalize the details of a peace plan for the Gaza Strip.
