Storm from Lake Urmia causes air pollution in Ardabil

The air pollution in Ardabil is of internal origin and is mainly the result of a storm originating from the south of Lake Urmia.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Kiyumars Sefidi, Director General of the Environmental Protection Department of Ardabil Province.

He stated that the Iranian Environmental Protection Department also confirmed this.

It should be noted that salt storms originating from the dried-up bed of Lake Urmia are spreading to the surrounding provinces. A day earlier, information was spread that a salt storm had engulfed the Goshachay (Miyandab) region.
