WHO warns of dangerous India-made cough syrups

The World Health Organization (WHO) has warned about dangerous cough syrups manufactured in India, urging authorities to report any detections of these drugs in their countries.

Axar.az reports that the WHO has identified the drugs as belonging to the pharmaceutical companies Sresan Pharmaceutical, Coldrif, Rednex Pharmaceuticals, Respifresh TR, and Shape Pharma.

The WHO has stated that the substandard products pose a significant health risk and can cause serious, potentially life-threatening illnesses.
