Erdogan: Gaza deal a new step toward lasting peace

Yesterday, we took an important step in our region to stop the two-year genocide in Gaza. We, as leaders, demonstrated strong political will in Egypt.

Axar.az that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said this.

“We demonstrated the same will together with the leaders at the meeting in Sharm el-Sheikh. I hope that the quadrilateral statement we signed with US President Donald Trump, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, and Qatari Emir Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani will be a new stage on the path to permanent peace in our region.

Today, in Gaza, although there is sadness inside us, there is laughter on the faces of the children. Everyone is praying to God. And mothers can send their children to the street for the first time in two years without the fear of a bomb falling on their heads. Just seeing them is a great happiness for us,” Erdogan said.
