Trump seeks Ukraine peace without Tomahawk missiles

US President Donald Trump has said he wants the war to end without the delivery of Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine.

Axar.az reports that the head of the White House said this during a meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart.

He noted that the Tomahawks are very important for the United States:

"We also need many other means that we have sent to Ukraine over the past four years. Now we are in a good situation. We are sending them to the European Union. They are paying for them. But the issue is not about money. We also need the Tomahawks and many other weapons that we have sent to Ukraine. That is why we want the war to end. It is not easy for us to give these weapons. We are talking about potent weapons.

I hope that they (Ukraine) will not need these weapons, and we will be able to stop the war without thinking about the Tomahawks. I think we are close enough to that."
