Putin announces completion of tests for Burevestnik missile

The “9M730 Burevestnik” is not only a nuclear warhead but also a low-flying cruise missile powered by nuclear energy. In NATO designations, the missile is called “SSC-X-9 Skyfall.”

Axar.az reports that “Reuters” released this information.

The nuclear engine system of the “Burevestnik” missile allows it to fly farther and for a longer time than conventional turbojet or turbofan engines. This enables the missile to remain in the air for an extended period before striking its target. The U.S.-based non-profit security organization “Nuclear Threat Initiative” stated that the “Burevestnik” could potentially stay airborne for several days,” the agency reported.

It should be noted that today, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the completion of tests of the nuclear-powered, unlimited-range “Burevestnik” cruise missile.
