Russia: The Azerbaijani embassy strike was accidental

We had no intention of attacking the Azerbaijani embassy in Kyiv. The Iskander missile could have fallen on the territory of the diplomatic mission only during air defense.

Axar.az reports that this was said by the first deputy chairman of the international relations committee of the Russian State Duma, Alexey Chepa.

"If this really happened, of course, no one had the intention to fire on the Azerbaijani embassy. We only strike at the infrastructure and military facilities that ensure the functioning of the military-industrial complex. This can happen even when electronic warfare and air defense systems are working. I believe that our Foreign Ministry should give some explanation that no one planned this," Chepa noted.

It should be noted that today, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry submitted a note of apology to Russia in response to the missile attack on our embassy in Ukraine.
