China's Ministry of Culture and Tourism strongly advises domestic tourists to avoid traveling to Japan. Chinese tourists in Japan should closely monitor the local security situation, increase their awareness of security measures, strengthen self-defense measures, and immediately report to the police and seek help from the Chinese embassy or consulate in Japan in emergencies.

It should be noted that the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs also released a statement on the deteriorating security situation for Chinese citizens in Japan:

"Public security in Japan has been unstable recently, with crimes and several attacks against Chinese citizens."
