Greece and Ukraine sign LNG supply memorandum

The gas companies of Greece and Ukraine have signed a memorandum of understanding on the supply of liquefied natural gas from the United States to Kyiv from December 2025 to March 2026.

Axar.az reports that the signing ceremony was broadcast on the Greek TV channel "ERT-neus".

The signing of the memorandum of understanding took place as part of the visit of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to Athens, with the participation of Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and US Ambassador to Greece Kimberly Guilfoyle.

According to the "Proto Thema" newspaper, the signing of the memorandum of understanding between the Greek company "DEPA Trading" and the Ukrainian company "Naftogaz" will be a significant contribution to regional and European energy security, as well as sustainability, and will also support Ukraine in difficult winter conditions.

It is noted that the energy infrastructure of Greece ensures stable supplies of natural gas through the "Vertical Corridor".
