Iran on Tuesday publicly executed a man after convicting him of raping two women.

Axar.az informs, citing Mizan, Hojjatoleslam Akbari, the Chief Justice of Semnan Province, explained the case proceedings: the matter had been under special investigation since 2022, following a report from the law enforcement authorities and the involvement of the Bastam District Court.

During the full investigation, it was determined that the accused lured two women with criminal intent, committing acts of rape and coercion.

Hojjatoleslam Akbari emphasized that the execution was carried out this morning, publicly, in the Bastam judicial district, after all legal procedures were completed and with full adherence to Sharia and judicial regulations.
