Kuleba says security guarantees key to ending Ukraine war

After months of attempts with no progress, negotiations on ending the war in Ukraine are no longer about abstract frameworks but about concrete compromises.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Ukraine’s former foreign minister, Dmytro Kuleba.

“Clarity is finally emerging, but it is not yet time for euphoria. It is said that only territorial issues remain unresolved, but Ukraine’s red lines are not marked on maps. Bitter history has taught us that the key issue is not where ceasefire lines are drawn, but what happens afterward,” the diplomat emphasized.

He noted that if the United States is truly ready to offer Ukraine legally binding security guarantees, President Volodymyr Zelensky would achieve a major victory.

“This is something Kyiv has sought since gaining independence from Moscow in 1991, and which Western partners have consistently refused to provide,” he added.
