Putin issues stark warning to EU over frozen Russian assets

During a year-end press conference, Russian President Vladimir Putin issued a “frightening” warning to the European Union over plans to finance Ukraine using frozen national assets.

Axar.az reports that this was stated in an article published by the Daily Express.

“Vladimir Putin sharply criticized EU leaders while simultaneously issuing a frightening warning about serious consequences,” the report said.

The article notes that the Russian president strongly condemned European leaders’ plans to provide loans to Kyiv using Russian assets.

The authors also highlighted that Putin described the EU’s initiative as, in essence, an act of plunder.
