Soyuz-5 first launch delayed for extra tests

The first launch of the new Soyuz-5 rocket carrier as part of the joint Russian-Kazakh space project "Bayterek" has been postponed for additional tests.

Axar.az informs that Roscosmos reported on this.

"The project partners have decided to adjust the first launch dates and conduct additional tests of both on-board systems and ground equipment," the statement said.

It was emphasized that tests are currently underway to confirm the reliability of the rocket systems and components of the complex.

It should be noted that the rocket was planned to be launched from the "Bayterek" rocket complex at the "Baykonur" cosmodrome in Kazakhstan in late 2025.
