Petro urges UN and OAS to act amid Venezuela crisis

Colombian President Gustavo Petro has called for an urgent meeting of the United Nations (UN) and the Organization of American States (OAS) regarding the tense situation in Venezuela. He stated that Caracas has been hit by missile strikes, describing the events as a danger to the entire world.

Axar.az reports that the Colombian leader shared this on the social network X.

Gustavo Petro noted that Caracas is currently being bombed and that missile attacks are being carried out against Venezuela. According to him, the OAS and the UN must immediately hold a meeting and provide an international legal assessment of the situation.

The president emphasized that Colombia has been a member of the UN Security Council since yesterday, and therefore the country must immediately raise the issue. Petro also highlighted the importance of investigating the international legality of the attacks against Venezuela.
