US strikes Venezuela parliament building

The US has struck the building of Venezuela’s parliament.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Colombian President Gustavo Petro on the social media platform X.

According to him, the US has attacked at least 11 sites in Venezuela.

“The Federal Legislative Palace in Caracas has been bombed,” he wrote.

The president added that the La Carlota air base, the mountain barracks in Catia–La Mar, as well as the Fort Tiuna military base were bombed and put out of operation. According to Petro, the airport in El Hatillo was also hit.

In addition, the F-16 Base No. 3 in Barquisimeto was bombed, and a private airport in the city of Charallave was disabled.

A defense plan has been activated in the Miraflores district.

Petro said that several districts of Caracas, including Santa Mónica, Fort Tiuna, Los Teques, “23 de Enero,” as well as the southern part of the capital, have been left without electricity. There are also reports of attacks on central Caracas.

It should be noted that today the US military carried out strikes on Venezuela.
