Ukraine does not recognize Maduro’s legitimacy

Ukraine defends the right of peoples to freedom and democracy, and the actions of the government of Nicolás Maduro violate all these principles.

Axar.az reports that this was written by Ukraine’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Andrii Sybiha, on his X account.

“Ukraine defends the right of peoples to live freely, without dictatorship, oppression, or violations of human rights. The Maduro regime violates all of these principles in every respect. Democratic countries and human rights organizations around the world emphasize the large-scale crimes committed by the regime he leads,” he said.

According to Sybiha, like dozens of other countries, Ukraine does not recognize Maduro’s legitimacy, and the Venezuelan people should have the opportunity to live in security and prosperity while preserving their dignity.

“Ukraine will support their right to a normal life, respect, and freedom. We support further developments in line with the principles of international law, prioritizing democracy, human rights, and the interests of the Venezuelan people,” he added.

It should be noted that today the US military carried out strikes on Caracas and captured President Maduro and his wife, removing them from the country.
