Ukraine and UK sign 2026 defence cooperation roadmap

Ukraine and the UK have signed a roadmap for defence cooperation for the current year in Kyiv. The document identifies joint projects in the areas of air defence, unmanned aerial vehicles, and aviation, amid new Russian attacks.

Axar.az reports that Ukrainian Defence Minister Denys Shmyhal announced on his Telegram account.

“Today in Kyiv, together with UK Defence Minister John Healy, we signed a roadmap for the development of a century-long defence partnership,” he wrote.

The agreement lays the foundation for long-term military-technical and industrial cooperation between the two states.

“This document paves the way for large-scale defence projects that will strengthen our ability to protect Ukraine from Russian attacks,” Shmyhal stressed.
