Britain plans troops, NATO mission in Greenland

The British government wants to send troops to the island to strengthen Greenland's security and prevent its annexation by the United States.

Axar.az reports that the Sunday Telegraph published information about this.

It was reported that Britain is holding discussions with European countries on this matter.

According to the publication, the British military command is working on plans to establish a NATO mission in Greenland. It is noted that in recent days, British officials have held a number of meetings with their European colleagues, including France and Germany, in order to begin preparations for the deployment of military contingents.

The plans are still at an early stage. It is expected that London will be able to contribute to the NATO mission not only with personnel, but also with military ships and aircraft.
