Hikmat Hajiyev shares documentary on Karabakh War

AnewZ television channel has produced a documentary after visiting Azerbaijan’s liberated territories with international photojournalist Rza Deghati, who documented the First Karabakh War through his lens.

Axar.az reports that Hikmat Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration, shared the film on his X account.

The documentary features destroyed buildings, damaged cultural heritage, fading traces of the past, shattered lives and histories that must not be forgotten, decades after the conflict.

“Although reconstruction is bringing new beginnings to the region, the fate of missing persons remains an open wound for their families,” the film states.

The documentary also raises the following questions:

“When does a war truly end, and can its story ever be complete while families are still searching for answers?

Because some stories cannot remain in the past. They live on through memory, the search for truth, and the hope for lasting peace.”
