Larijani: Violent group hijacked Iran protests

A violent, organized group that has nothing to do with the economic protests has taken over the situation.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Ali Larijani, Secretary of the Iranian Security Council.

"They used the unrest to commit brutal acts similar to ISIS tactics - murders, arson, and beheadings. Such atrocities have nothing to do with the real protest," Larijani said.

It should be noted that mass protests continue in Iran due to the economic situation.
