Egypt files FIFA complaint over Argentina loss

The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) has lodged an official complaint with FIFA over referee Francois Letexier's decisions following Egypt's 3-2 defeat to Argentina.

Axar.az reports that the Egyptian national team has requested an investigation into the referee's performance.

The federation believes several key refereeing decisions influenced the outcome of the match and argued that Letexier should not be assigned to officiate any remaining matches at the World Cup.

Argentina defeated Egypt 3-2 to advance to the quarter-finals.
