Turkiye, US discuss Iran and Syria developments

Turkiye's Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz has received US Ambassador to Ankara Tom Barrack on Thursday.

Axar.az reports "During our meeting with U.S. Ambassador to Turkiye, Mr. Tom Barrack, at the Presidential Complex, we discussed ways to further strengthen our bilateral relations and deepen cooperation in concrete areas," Yilmaz said on X.

They held comprehensive talks on advancing economic and trade ties, as well as key issues on our agenda, including the defense industry and CAATSA sanctions.

The sides also exchanged views on regional and global matters, particularly recent developments in Iran and Syria, and the second phase of the Gaza peace plan.
