US Embassy in Baku denies reports of full visa suspension

The U.S. Embassy in Baku has denied reports circulating in local media that the United States is suspending all visas for citizens of 75 countries, including Azerbaijan.

Axar.az informsIn a statement, the embassy said this information is misleading, as the current pause applies only to immigrant (permanent residence) visa categories and does not affect legitimate non-immigrant visa applicants such as tourists, business travelers, students and exchange visitors.

Non-immigrant visas continue to be processed at the U.S. Embassy in Baku.
