Trump’s rhetoric signals preparations for post-Khamenei era

Trump has stated that Khamenei has destroyed his country and declared that it is time to look for a new leader in Iran. Khamenei, in turn, has blamed Trump for everything that has happened.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by political analyst Asif Narimanli.

According to the analyst, it is not unlikely that there are certain agreements or promises behind the rhetorical confrontation:

“Despite Trump telling protesters that ‘help is on the way,’ this factor should not be ruled out among the reasons (there are others as well) why he has postponed a military intervention scenario in Iran.

Trump’s ‘new leader’ message is also noteworthy in this context. It is possible that this is about preparations for the post-Khamenei era.
