Hungary drawn into two world wars despite efforts to stay out

“There were two world wars, and even though we wanted to stay out, we were drawn into both,” Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said.

Axar.az reports that Orban stated that the lesson of history is clear.

“István Tisza failed, Miklós Horthy failed. The real question is whether we can succeed,” he noted.

“I believe that by shaping our foreign policy correctly, we can manage to keep Hungary out of war,” Orban added.
