Trump seeks $1bn for permanent seats on Gaza Peace Council

The Trump administration is demanding that other countries pay at least $1 billion each for a permanent seat on the Gaza Peace Council.

Axar.az reports, citing Bloomberg, that under the plan, Trump would chair the council, oversee membership, approve decisions, and control the funds.

According to the report, countries that contribute $1 billion in the first year would be exempt from term limits.

It was also noted that the Peace Council includes the US President’s special envoy Steve Witkoff, the president’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, former UK prime minister (1997–2007) Tony Blair, and other prominent figures.
